How does BizOnTrack work and how can it help me?
BizOnTrack is a web-based team goal setting and task management software that helps you keep your goals on track and get things done. Unlike traditional goal setting software, BizOnTrack not only allows you to set and manage goals, but most importantly, it provides functions that help you plan action steps and tasks to follow through, and be able to make real progress on achieving your goals. Beyond that, it also keeps track of how much time you spent on tasks and goals, so that you can better manage your time and priorities. For more features, please refer to the full feature list.
How is the progress on goals being tracked?
Every goal must have a number of supporting tasks. You track your goal progress by how you complete its tasks. You can track goal progress by the number of tasks completed, by a target goal metric, by a targe goal range, or simply update goal progress manually.
How do I track time spent on tasks or goals?
On the "Dashboard" page, you can use timers to track your time spent on tasks. Each task has a timer, and a time progress indictor(a series of dots). Once a timer is started, those indictor dots start to fill up. Each dot represents 15 minutes. So for every hour, 4 dots will be filled up. You can start, stop and resume the timer anytime you want. When you check off a task, if its timer is still running, it will be automatically stopped.
For time spent on goals, it will be the total amount of time spent on all completed tasks that belong to the goal. This is automatically calculated, and you can see the total time spent on goals on the Reports page.
Do I have to keep my browser open all the time to use the timers?
No, you don't. You don't have to be logged in all the time when the timer is running. As long as a timer is started, a time log entry is saved on the backend server. You can then close the browser and do whatever you need to do to complete the task. Once it's done, you can go back to the site, and you will see the timer is shown as still running. Now you can stop the timer or check off the task as done. However, there is an upper limit on how long a timer can run, which is currently set at 4 hours. If a task will take more than 4 hours, it is suggested you further break down the task into several smaller tasks.
Can you customize BizOnTrack for us?
Yes, we can. If you find another use for the software in your work or life, or wish to customize it for a particular company or some other purposes, please do let us know and we will work with you to make it happen.
Login, password, cancellation, etc.
I don't receive my login and password, where can I get it?
Your login user name and password is sent to the email address you used when signing up. Please allow a few minutes or so before checking your email. Be sure to also check junk/spam folders if you're using a public email provider, such as yahoo, hotmail etc. If you still don't receive your login info, please write us an email and we will help you out.
How do I retreive my forgotten password?
Your login user name is the email address you used when signing up. To retrieve your forgotten password, please go to the login page, and click the "Forgot your password" link.
How do I change my password?
Once you are logged in, please click "My Info" link on top-right corner of the page. From there you should be able to change your password. It will be effective the next time you login.
How do I cancel my account?
Please send us your account cancellation request through Contact Us page. Your request will be processed in 48 hours. If you paid using a credit card, you will not be billed again. If you paid through PayPal, your paypal subscription will be cancelled as well.
